Building on Material You - what if you could create a wallpaper that was uniquely you? What if your wallpaper can match your mood?
Slated for early next year, Pixel is launching an A.I. wallpaper creation tool that empowers users with the ability to turn their ideas into premium imagery. It empowers users with the ability to generate high-fidelity images and creative illustrations with just text input.
Our mission
Our mission is to collaborate with other research and product teams and establish Google as the leading platform for AI-assisted content creation and editing.
A.I. wallpaper is a tool to create wallpapers. We want to encourage the creation of wallpapers that could live with our existing collection and factor in what makes a successful wallpaper (colors, readability, simplicity).
These are some preliminary visuals for our research study. We have designed 3 potential entries for users into our generative AI wallpaper product.

Android Wallpapers typically follow a set of guidelines in subject matter and style, adhere to an aesthetic standard, and are a key aspect of branding for the Pixel phone.
